Costa Rica Candelaria Estate (SHB)
Located in Abangares, Guanacaste, Cost Rica, Candelaria is Northwest of Tarrazu. Roasting and Cupping Notes:As with most high-grown coffees, this one holds up well to a dark roast. In sampling it we roasted it at a very light City roast and also took it to Full City +. At the lighter end, woody (Pine) and fruity (orange) were prominent. At Full CIty, the woodiness became more of an elegant Cedar with the fruity nuance completely disappearing. Medium body with a nice finish. Good aftertaste, but not necessarily lingering. Very nice aroma, but not intense. Excellent choice of coffee for drip brewing, especially in a Chemex. For those that like a "bold" coffee, this is a good one to try.
