Coffee drying beds outside of farmers huts More drying beds

Ethiopia Hambela / Guji Beshan Fugu

Hambela is a farm located in the fertile Oromia regional state in Guji Zone, between the two districts of Gedeb and Hambela, seventy-five kilometers above Yirgacheffe. It is made up of 200 hectacres and includes a washing station, dry mill, drying beds, a large warehouse and guest bungalows. This coffee is sun-dried, which increases the sweetness and emphasises the unique character of the beans.

Cupping Notes: Heavy blueberry, vanilla, cherry. Smooth creamy body.

Roasting Notes: It would be unfortunate to pay a premium price for these beans, then to dark roast them. Anywhere between City and City ++. If possible, slow the roast way down right before 1st crack and being careful not to stall the roast (descending bean temperature), slowly finish the roast over the next three minutes. If a bean temperature probe is available, drop the beans at 405 F.

Note: these are unroasted green coffee beans
