Ethiopia Yirgacheffe - Aricha

Aricha is a small village located just outside the town of Yirgacheffe. Yirgacheffe is actually both the name of a small town as well as a "wordea" (district).

Aricha (this coffee) is a natural processed coffee dried on raised beds. Girma and Fikadu Shento are third generation growers that have been working hard with around 900 "small-holder" coffee farmers to bring us this rock-solid quality immaculate Yirgacheffe coffee that exemplifies the local soil and climate conditions necessary to produce the unique characteristics found in this cup. Wild berries, floral, and sweet, but not overpowering best describe this coffee.

Ethiopia coffee lovers will be in coffee heaven with these beans. For those looking to try something different, but not crazy different, give this a shot. Great for all types of brewing from espresso to French press

Roasting Notes: Light roasted is best, and no more than City +, otherwise the flavor goes right out of your roasters exhaust. The roast may appear uneven, but this is normal for this type of natural processed bean. Let the roast "rest" for at least two days before brewing and be amazed. Taking it a little darker will bring out dark chocolate notes and works well as an espresso.

Cupping Notes: Intense aroma on the dry, wet, and break. Blueberry, blackberry, currants. Uniform cup. High on sweetness. Creamy body. Long finish.

Note: these are unroasted green coffee beans
