Sumatra Raja Batak Peaberry
Peaberry or “Caracolillo”(little snail), is a round pea shaped coffee bean bean usually associated with Tanzanian coffee. The shape occurs when the coffee plant suffers an anomaly in its pollination, yielding thus a single seed in the cherry. This amazing coffee as well as our Blue Batak hails from the Lake Toba region of Sumatra.
Cupping Notes: Strong notes of pipe tobacco and cedar, which can be otherwise described as elegant. There is a certain amount of acidity that boldly presents itself, unlike most Sumatrans where this acidity is there but is disguised by more of a syrupy body.
Roasting Notes: City ++ to Full City
